Why make a distinction like that if it were not a special relationship. The Bible would have mentioned Jesus's marriage to Mary Magdalene as it would have been very important details. Some of the disciples were married but gave up their relationships and families to follow Christ. Jesus taught that you must give up all things and follow him. His teachings on this are very clear. There is not even a hint that Jesus was ever married. People will make it what they want in order to justify their own actions and traditions.
